Sky Ridge Farm sits at 2,000+ feet in San Diego’s Jamul Mountains and enjoys a distinctive microclimate that is partially regulated by ocean winds, which often makes it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than the valleys below. As a working farm surrounded by wild country, guests should also expect a true rural environment. Sky Ridge includes 50 acres of undeveloped land, abuts another 110 acres of undeveloped land, and is bordered by thousands of acres of protected wildlands, so wildlife encounters are possible, especially after dark. Guests should remain alert at night and keep pets indoors overnight.
Like most of Southwest California, wildfire season is real and conditions can change quickly. Sky Ridge is designed to be fire-resilient, with orchards and farm management practices that help reduce risk by clearing undergrowth and limiting available fuel, further supported by our pond as an on-site firefighting resource. We provide pre-arrival guidance on current conditions, safety practices, and any advisories or restrictions that could affect access or programming during your stay.
