Gather, Restore, Explore
Sky Ridge Farm is a working, mountain-top farm in the Jamul Mountains about 30 minutes from San Diego International Airport designed as a regenerative, land-first retreat. It pairs the authenticity of a California farm stay with the comfort and privacy of luxury glamping near San Diego, integrating orchards, lavender fields, and native habitat with chef-led dining, small-batch production, and restorative outdoor wellness.
Sky Ridge Farm is designed as a collection of purposeful destinations. At the center is The Ridge House the social hub of the property supported by Sky Ridge Brewery, The Cellar House, The Immerie Garden, Brisa Point, the Ridge Trails, Canyon Pond, and the farm landscapes (Chef’s Garden, orchards, and lavender fields). Together, these amenities create a cohesive boutique outdoor hospitality experience: spacious, quiet, and naturally immersive.
The Ridge House is the living room of Sky Ridge, warm, grounded, and designed to pull you in the moment you arrive. Inside, The Ridge Mercantile offers curated goods from the land and the region, while the lounge invites slow mornings and softer afternoons in stone, wood, and candle-warm light. Step onto the view-framing patio, where the day naturally stretches into golden hour and the scent of the kitchen drifts on the breeze.
As evening arrives, The Ridge House becomes a gathering point for farm-to-table dining, often centered around open-fire cooking, flame, smoke, and seasonal ingredients brought to life in full view. Just beyond, The Longview Firepit anchors the night with conversation and a slow transition from day to dark.
Open: 7:00AM – 8:00PM
A curated, farm-led marketplace that feels like the pantry you wish you had at home. The Ridge Mercantile offers seasonal provisions, small-batch pantry goods, and Sky Ridge staples rooted in what the land is producing, plus locally made goods worth discovering and small indulgences that travel well.
A quiet indoor refuge centered around a large, glowing fireplace, designed for the moments between experiences and meals that deserve to linger. Come for a slow breakfast when the morning is cool, a lingering lunch, or a fireside dinner when the temperature drops and the ridgelines go dark outside.
Open: 7:00AM – 8:00PM
The Pavilion is The Ridge House’s open-air great porch, an elevated timber-framed gathering hall where the sky, the breeze, and the view become the backdrop. By day it’s bright and breezy for coffee and casual bites. By night it turns lantern-warm, with long tables built for unhurried dinners.
Open: 7:00AM – 8:00PM
Set into the earth like a natural amphitheater, The Longview Firepit is Sky Ridge’s nighttime anchor. Firelight washes over stone seating as the air cools and conversation slows. This is the place for s’mores, shared pours, and unhurried time under the stars.
Located at The Ridge House South Patio
Sky Ridge Brewery is a small-batch tasting experience shaped by the seasons and the farm’s pace, more mountain pause than taproom rush. Expect rotating pours crafted for the moment: crisp and aromatic when days run warm, deeper and slower when nights cool. Tastings are guided but relaxed, connecting each beer to place, process, and seasonality.
This is an easy highlight for guests seeking unique stays near San Diego, taste-driven, calm, and small-batch.
Open 12:00PM – 8:00PM
The Cellar House is a residential, story-driven accommodation with private-club energy, adjacent to Sky Ridge Brewery. It’s designed for guests who want extra space and a more social rhythm in a setting that still feels intentionally tucked away. Inside: a fireplace, large-screen TV, pool table, and relaxed corners for game nights and laid-back viewing.
Outside: the North Patio and North Terrace, with sweeping northern and western views, built for sunset pours and outdoor bar games.
Brisa Point is the western edge of the property, the lookout where the land drops away and the horizon expands. Wind-kissed and cinematic, it’s built for quiet awe, with sunsets that stop conversations and wide-sky views that can stretch toward the Pacific on clear days. One of the signature moments that defines a nature retreat near San Diego.
The Immerie Garden is Sky Ridge’s quiet center, an open-air sanctuary for restoration set against expansive mountain views in the Jamul backcountry. Surrounded by native plantings and fragrant botanicals, it’s designed for unhurried stillness: meditation, shaded lounging, and simple rituals that bring you back to body and breath.
The Immerie is built around sauna and cold plunge contrast rituals, paired with calm spaces to reset between heat and cool. Rinse in the open-air outdoor shower, then settle into deeper release inside a private massage bungalow offering thoughtful bodywork in a setting that feels both secluded and connected to the land.
Guests often describe it as a wellness retreat with sauna and cold plunge, open-air, quiet, and grounded in nature.
Located at the Southern end of Lavender Ridge, Open: 7:00AM – 8:00PM
A wide, open green set on a north-central knoll, Sky Ridge’s gathering meadow. Designed for morning movement, sunset games, small celebrations, and relaxed lounging with uninterrupted views. Fresh in the morning, golden at dusk, softly lit when evening settles in.
A network of paths that traverse Sky Ridge from north to south and east to west, forming a looped system of roughly three miles. The route winds through orchards and working fields, then climbs into chaparral edges, oak shade, and rocky ridgelines. Some elevation changes make certain stretches feel like a true hike, not just a walk.
The Canyon Pond is a naturalized water feature shaped to feel as though it has always belonged to the land, reflecting open sky, ridgelines, and native plantings as a focal point of calm. Guests come here for quiet walks, reading, wildlife moments, and a gentle reset after the trails or The Immerie Garden.
The pond is also purposeful: it supports the working farm as a water resource for agriculture and contributes to the property’s broader fire resilience. Beautiful, functional, and deeply grounded
An intimate growing space dedicated to flavor, herbs, greens, edible flowers, and seasonal specialties cultivated for the day’s menu. The Chef’s Garden makes farm-to-table tangible: ingredients picked minutes before service, fragrance on your hands, color unreal in morning light.
It’s also a living classroom for farm education, propagation, planting, soil and watering basics, and how varietals move from field to kitchen (garnishes, infusions, preservation, and home-growing techniques). These landscapes are part of Sky Ridge’s agritourism lodging experience, beautiful to wander, meaningful to learn from.
Sky Ridge’s orchards are the farm’s slowest story, shaped by patience, seasonality, and the quiet discipline of tending what takes time. Spring blossoms soften the air, summer canopy deepens, and fall becomes a harvest landscape, sun-warmed and fragrant.
For guests, the orchards are both a place to wander and a place to learn: propagation, pruning, irrigation fundamentals, and soil-building practices, connected directly to the kitchen and small-batch preparations. These landscapes are part of Sky Ridge’s agritourism lodging experience, beautiful to wander, meaningful to learn from.
The lavender fields are Sky Ridge’s signature escape. In bloom, the air feels velvety and sweet, scent clinging gently to skin and hair in a way that softens your shoulders without trying. Visit in the morning for clean light, or at golden hour when the field turns cinematic, purple against warm earth, hills glowing, and a breeze moving through rows like a whisper.
